|
| Inepta, officially known as 'Inepta Maximus,' is a terrestrial jungle planet. Originally classified as an uninhabitable world, it has since become a well-known point of research for many scientists.
| |
|
| |
| Inepta's most prominent feature is its enormous beehive, which covers 55% of the planet's landmass. The hive's bulbous structure is so massive that it can be seen from all corners of the world.
| |
|
| |
| From its many open entrances, rivers of honey flow and create artificial lakes of pure yellow sweetness on the nearby ground. Although the aroma of the honey is delightful, its potency can be overwhelming and sickening.
| |
|
| |
| In the Hive's moist, packed, and never-ending chambers is an unknown amount of Insectras. Small, flexible, and loyal insects actively produce honey and collect pollen. Speculated to number in the billions, if not more, they dominate Inepta as the most numerous species alongside being the dominant one.

| The surface of the world is covered in beautiful flowers that tower over nearby trees. They are a majestic sight that can stretch for miles, and in some cases, are so massive they might be seen from orbit! These peculiar flowers attract large quantities of Insectras, which, while harmless on their own, might prove an inconvenience for research teams.

| Deeper into its heart, the world houses a single massive jungle. It dominates most of the soil in a never-ending labyrinth of forests. Blocking the sun, Its imposing trees stand defiant even after thousands of years, with each one being a relic untouched by another species. Such beauty is not as simple as it seems, for underneath the thick foilage, creatures of all sorts wait eagerly to feast.
| |
|
| |
| One of the most infamous creatures sighted in the deep jungles is the ''Tree Bug''. These strange arthropods are roughly the size of a common galactic-pattern APC transport and can easily blend into the environment. Its carapace is so flexible and reflectic, that many times, a person might've been looking at one for minutes without noticing it.
| |
|
| |
| Thankfully, these creatures do not show interest in eating flesh or meat but will fight back if threatened. They grab the threat with their mandibles and slam it against a tree to crack its skull.
| |
|
| |
| While dangerous, yes, the planet still has beauty to it. The freshwater of nearby lakes is rich in its purity, the trees whose roots coil around the heart of the planet. Its untouched beauty stands as a relic in an age where the desire for mass production has led to the devastation of entire worlds.

| === Insectras ===
| |
|
| |
| The Insectra are the only sapient species found in the world of Inepta. These curious insects, resembling a hybrid of honeybees and bumblebees, are notably smaller than humans, with the average drone standing at just 5'3 feet tall.
| |
|
| |
| Insectras, as a species, lack ears or noses. In place of such organs, their antennae are much more sensitive and can feel pheromones and vibrations in the air. Although able to communicate through galactic-common, Insectras can more quickly relay large amounts of information through buzzing.
| |
|
| |
| A resilient outer shell protects their organs. It is largely covered in a layer of fur to aid the Insectra in gathering pollen and regulating body temperature. Although flexible, it can easily deflect a blow from a local predator. This gives them enough time to fight back - Using their large stingers to pump their targe full of venom. The size of their stingers is comparable to a sword, with a serrated blade able to inject a potent agent that can paralyze and outright kill an individual.
