Rules

Rule #0:

The Golden Rule: This server is MERP which stands for Medium Erotic Roleplay. The primary focus of this server is for a fun, sexual environment. Do your best as Crew or Antagonist to contribute to fun, more than to ruin someone else's round.

Rule #1: Do NOT transform or round-remove each other, or make the Station/Lavaland uninhabitable. This includes making death traps, planting Kudzu, and plasmaflooding. This is a non-negotiable rule. No one is valid unless they've TRULY earned it from Central Command. No executions unless approved by Central Command. No exceptions. Ahelp over this if you absolutely feel like you NEED to remove a player permanently, but otherwise, fucking DO NOT.

#1-a: Do NOT take items from or interact with another crewmember that is SSD unless it is within reason (If you are alone with no radio in the prison, and an officer has fallen asleep, locked in a room with someone SSD holding tools/ID, etc.). Only after a player has been Disconnected for 20 minutes can they be placed into Cryo and their important items retrieved (I.E. Hardsuit, NAD, etc.)

#1-b: Starting needless, physical conflicts as a non-antagonist, and especially in the case of Full-On Shitcurity, is unacceptable. If you begin fighting with others or forcing chemicals on another player without a proper, in-character justification, it will be met with warnings and a possible ban. Syndicate Listening Post Operatives, Ashwalkers, and any Ghost Spawn Roles are NOT exempt from this rule. Forcing chemicals INCLUDES spreading or forcibly applying nanites/diseases. Fucking don't do it.

#1-c: You may NOT respawn as the same character without ahelping for permission prior to returning to the shift.

Rule #2: Do not invade a locked dorm room or tamper with the door/walls through any means. If you absolutely need to break into a Dorm because a Head of Staff or Security are not doing their job on amber/red alert, ahelp it first. (Bombing dorms is an automatic ban, heehoo funni.) (edited)

Rule #3: If you come across someone ERPing somewhere that is NOT the dorms and semi-private, you may LOOC to join in. If they say no, DO NOT MAKE IT AWKWARD AND STAY AROUND. This rule goes off an honors system, as well. If someone requests you move from an openly public space to somewhere private, RESPECT them and do so. This is not a rule for you to be Anti-ERP, this is a rule for you to not engage with what you do not wish to see.

#3-a: Public nudity is NOT a crime.  Nudism is allowed.

Rule #4: Having Non-con set to Yes means you can be potentially kidnapped at random, being stunned (including hypnosis) and brought into a secluded area by the person interested. If you are not interested in being non-conned, you MUST inform the person in LOOC during or before the scene to stop, that you do not wish to take part OR HAVE YOUR PREFERENCES SET TO 'ASK' OR 'NO'. (This acts like a safe word) If you have Non-Con Preferences set to 'Ask', that means they must ask you through LOOC BEFORE the attempt. (UNLESS: You have it stated otherwise in your OOC notes) In either cases, with Non-Con set to 'Yes' or 'Ask' after you've obtained LOOC permission, do NOT call for help through yells or radio chatter, this is to help preserve the scene instead of causing a shitty hate mob. Retaliation can only be done IC if you've refused to consent in LOOC, however having Non-Con set to 'Yes' is a form of 'Consensual Non-Consent', and you lose your right to retaliation in doing so. During these Non-Con scenes, you cannot steal items from the player you're targeting. Everything taken during the scene must be returned after the scene. This is NOT a license to Self-Antagonize, it is purely to facilitate Non-Con ERP. Finally, AFTER the scene, you both can decide in LOOC if your scene will be canon, which means, NO ONE CAN ARREST YOU until this is confirmed. You can choose to involve Security or other crewmembers only when it is agreed upon. IF YOU INTEND TO ROLEPLAY NON-CON SCENES, ALWAYS OOC CHECK NOTES FIRST. IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN NON-CON SCENES, SET YOUR NON-CON PREFERENCES TO 'NO'.

#4-a: Forcing Rape on somebody through Emotes or Lewd Verbs without OOC consent is an automatic, bannable offense.

#4-B(ANTAG EDITION): Having your "be antag victim" preferences on yes, means you consent to not having the protections rule one offers in case you're approached to by an antag or an admin approved role, given that you can be round removed by them. Like with rule four above, this can include, or exclude having sexual interactions, but this preference allows you to be robbed or even executed in a way that prevents your revival or return. You can still respawn as a new character or wait for the next round, do not spawn as the same character in the same round. If you prefer having to be asked LOOCly, set it to ask, this functions similarly to the base rule 4.

#4-C(ANTAG EDITION): Taking part in this as a command role would be heavily frowned upon, including being the captain and being a target for an OOC friend. Generally, if you play a command role, have this pref disabled to prevent situations where the station can be messed with excessively.

Rule #5: We do NOT allow Underage Content on this server. No characters under the age of 18 are allowed to be played, period. Don't even bring this subject up, it is not welcome in this server. If you are suspected of being underage, the S.P.L.U.R.T. staff may pull you aside for an age verification at any time. This verification can include a temporary ban from the server until proof of age is both given and verified.

#5-a: We do allow Bestiality Content on this Server. All [Sentient mobs] (player controlled) may be used for scenes. As well as [non-sentient mobs] as long as they're NOT fully reminiscent of real life animals.

#5-b: We do ALLOW necrophillia, ONLY if you've obtained consent from the character you're after. VIOLATING the deceased without consent will net bans much like rule 4 violations.

Rule #6: Until it has been coded out: If you spawn as an Antagonist as a Command Role (Head of Personnel, Captain, Head of Security, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Engineer.) or as an Antagonist in Security (Rookie, Security Officer, Warden, Detective), you MUST Ahelp out of it. If you spawn as a Prisoner, you must report directly to Security and give yourself over for arrest. If you want to try causing a riot or breaking out, you MUST ahelp first.

Rule #7: End of Round Grief (EORG) is allowed ONLY on the Escape Shuttle and CC area, ONLY after the round has ended. Bombing the Escape Shuttle before it has docked is an immediately bannable offense. EORG is NOT allowed on the station itself, nor on the Escape Pods and their respective docking areas.

Rule #8: Validhunting is NOT allowed in any form on this server. Antags shall not be approached to with hostility just for being antags neither by security nor by anyone else currently playing in the round. Members of the crew should NEVER be the ones to start conflict with a given antag. They should not be attacked, caged or removed without a good reason for it. All non-friendly interactions with an antag shall first be attempted to de-escalate through roleplay before going into combat. They shall be considered friendly entities/people until deemed hostile due to a higher reason. Examples of these reasons are continuing to approach the crew in hostile and non-lewd ways and failing to de-escalate these situations, causing an important amount of losses and damage to the station or crew or being announced by CC as hostile.

Rule #8-a: Likewise, if you're spawned as an antag with friendly or lewd objectives in the shift, you shall continue to be friendly and lewd throughout the whole shift without causing needless conflicts with the crew. Unnecessary hostility from a friendly antag will be considered as an infraction of Rule #1.

Rule #9: Self antagonism, breaking into areas for non-essential items on repeat over multiple rounds will count towards breaking this rule. More so if it is a large amount of items, either from command or from varying departments that were amassed in the same round.

#9-a: Holding meta grudges should be avoided, try to have issues escalate in current rounds where you can even if you dislike the person. There's no reason to shut down their rounds when they want to have fun too.

Rule #10: This server aims for a Semi-Literate environment, where Netspeak (Such as thx, lol, wtf, etc.) is not allowed. You may not send copy-pasta messages in-character and over comms or spam messages incessantly. The obvious exception to this is in OOC/Dead Chat as well as in PDA messages. This server is primarily an English-speaking server, and your writing and speech must be legible enough to read. Speaking occasional phrases in different languages is acceptable. Rule 10-a: We have disallowed the use of slurs in OOC and LOOC. Use of them IC is not disallowed but overuse of them in shitter behavior can get this privilege revoked.

Rule #11: Intellectual Dishonesty will not be tolerated. Don't be deceitful in tickets or in general. Hiding in dorms while being pursued, or any dorms including infinite dorms, or using the protections they offer to hide items WILL count as a violation of this rule. Stealing another's character or otherwise will also count to this. Changing your preferences mid or after an interaction to avoid it will also count to this rule, refer to rule 4 for more information.

Rule#12: Causing round disruptions, like riots, prison break outs, or mutinies, requires admin approval via Ahelp to do so. If you do not have admin permission for either of these or similar "events", and proceed to do so, expect to be banned.

Rule#13: Calling the shuttle or using the quick launch features without proper justification, can result in hour long, or longer bans.

Rule#14: Constantly coming near breaking the above mentioned rules, can and will be treated as actual rule breaks. Don't try to act funny.

Rule #15: The staff team reserves the right to enforce the rules and standards to the expected degree, or not to, in certain situations, and likewise to take administrative actions towards situations that don't necessarily break our rules. This freedom only applies when the decisions made are justified by our rule 0.

#15-a: If the decision to be made cannot be justified properly by rule 0, admins must continue to enforce our rules as standards as expected of them.

#15-b: In any case of unfair admin abuse, by all means please open an ahelp ticket or ban appeal and report it, make sure you have all the evidence needed for it.

Rule #16: For anything not listed here, please defer to an ahelp before doing so. We are all generally friendly in ahelps and are wiling to work cooperatively with the players to create an enjoyable experience.
